Here’s another poem by the Greek author Cavafy, here’s a translation from a language of which I only know the grandfather.

Come back often and take me,
beloved sensation, come back and take me —
when the memory of the body awakens,
and the old desire runs again through the blood;
when lips and skin remember
and hands feel like they’re still touching.

Come back often and take me at night,
when lips and skin remember.
